Last month, 125 interns, residents and fellows from 35 graduate health education programs at Madigan Army Medical Center gathered for the Graduate Medical Education ceremony, June 14 at the American Lake Conference Center on Joint Base Lewis-McChord. Retired Army Col. Greg Gadson was this year’s keynote speaker.

Madigan Army Medical Center added photos to the album: SHARP: “Survivor’s Tribute” Event — at Madigan Army Medical Center.
Yesterday, Madigan’s Medical Mall was filled with the 2018 Sexual Assault Awareness Prevent Month Observance “Survivor’s Tribute”. This event was not restricted to SHARP survivorship but also recognized survival of all forms – cancer, trauma, assault, and any other such difficulty. The program detailed the proceedings in the following order. They had a piano prelude by 1st Lt. Vivian Granfield, welcome by Nancy Holbrook, the WTB Music Group, poetry by Deborah Crespo, a song by Sgt. Dewayne Thomas, poetry by Sgt. 1st Class Guadalupe Munguia, a song by Ann Marie Gordon, music by Sgt. Drew Kelley, and dance by Saskia Cineas.
Today in the Medical Mall at Madigan Army Medical Center, Asian Pacific American Heritage Month was celebrated with a traditional music and dance performance by “JBLM Soldiers of the Pacific Islands”: A group that is made up of soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord ranging from privates to colonels, retirees, veterans, U.S. Army civilians, U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) Contractors, and their family members who have been performing for #JBLM for years on a volunteer basis. Every year they dedicate their personal time to perform for the Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month Celebration.
